About the role
Overview
In this Senior SDET role you design end-to-end automation strategies for cross-team features and own the automation roadmap for one or more modules. You’ll partner with engineers, TPMs, and product leaders to scale quality as the product grows, driving coverage, performance, and reliability improvements. The position focuses on AI-first testing, intelligent automation, and agentic QA to accelerate release confidence. You’ll help build scalable test infrastructure for cloud-native, distributed systems and contribute to modern quality engineering practices. This role blends hands-on automation with strategic quality initiatives to impact Blink’s healthcare platforms.
Responsibilities Design and implement end-to-end automation frameworks for complex features Own the automation roadmap for one or more modules with goals and success metrics Identify testability gaps and drive continuous quality improvements Build and maintain functional, performance, resiliency, and security automation in CI/CD pipelines Design scalable test infrastructure for distributed systems and cloud-native platforms Collaborate with engineering, product, platform, and QA teams to ensure coverage Leverage AI-assisted automation tooling to speed test generation and maintenance Develop AI-first automation workflows including self-healing and agentic QA approaches Drive autonomy in quality engineering with AI-assisted CI/CD validation and predictive quality analysis Mentor SDETs and engineers to improve automation design and code quality
Key requirements 5+ years in SDET/automation engineering and quality tooling Strong background in frontend and backend testing and automation Advanced proficiency in testing methodologies, automation frameworks, debugging, and distributed system validation Experience building test infrastructure across platforms and services Strong programming and scripting skills (SQL, Python, Java Script/Type Script, or Java)Hands-on experience with CI/CD, performance tools, observability platforms, and monitoring Expertise in API/backend testing and distributed systems (AWS, Kafka, Kinesis)Experience setting up performance/load/stress testing infrastructure at scale Practical use of AI-assisted development/automation tools to improve coverage and release confidence Knowledge of AI-first QA concepts (intelligent test generation, self-healing automation) and evaluating AI toolingcollaboration across cross-functional teamsmentorship and coachingstrategic thinking and initiativeautomation frameworksCI/CD pipelinesobservability and monitoring
