Location: Hybrid | North County San Diego, 3 days onsite
Overview: Growing global public company seeking an Assistant Controller to lead day-to-day accounting operations, oversee month-end close, drive process improvements, and mentor a high-performing accounting team. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building scalable processes.
Key Responsibilities: Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes Manage and develop accounting staff Drive automation, process improvement, and operational efficiency initiatives Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and business leaders Support audits, internal controls, and compliance initiatives
Minimum Qualifications: 9 -15 years of progressive accounting experience Strong GL accounting and month-end close expertise Experience leading or mentoring an accounting team Knowledge of SOX, audit, and internal controls Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
