Job Functions We are seeking a driven, curious Engineer to join our Innovation team. This role will support the testing, development, and improvement of engineering tools, systems, and processes, with an emphasis on applying engineering fundamentals, problem solving, and technology to improve how work is performed. A primary focus of this role will be ensuring engineering software and system changes are thoroughly tested and validated before being released for production use. This person will work with CAD and 3D modeling tools, PLM/PDM, and interconnected business applications to understand workflows, evaluate changes, troubleshoot problems, and develop practical solutions. Responsibilities will include applying engineering and mathematical reasoning to test and validate calculations, models, data, and system outputs. As the organization continues to grow, this role will have the opportunity to develop alongside evolving systems, projects, and business needs.
Responsibilities: Learn and support engineering, detailing, manufacturing, and business-system workflows Work with CAD/3D modeling, PLM, and other engineering applications Apply engineering and mathematical reasoning to test and validate calculations, models, data, and software outputs Investigate technical problems, identify root causes, and help develop practical solutions Understand and evaluate how engineering information flows between systems Develop, document, and execute test plans and test cases for new tools, system changes, and enhancements Work with engineers, software developers, and end users to understand requirements, identify issues, build, and validate solutions Support engineering software releases, user training, and technical documentation Ability to travel for training, vendor visits, and visits to other company facilities
Qualifications: Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills Experience with CAD and 3D modeling software Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and willingness to take ownership of new challenges Demonstrated ability to learn and navigate new software and technical systems Strong attention to detail and ability to approach problems methodically Excellent written and verbal communication skills
