About the role

Geo-GPS Spoofing Cybersecurity Specialist
Job Type: Full-Time
Department: Cyber Security / Threat Intelligence / PNT Security
About Us: We are a cutting-edge cybersecurity firm dedicated to protecting critical infrastructure, aerospace systems, maritime navigation, and enterprise location-based services against advanced electronic attacks. As reliance on GPS and Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) grows, so do the threats of malicious manipulation. We are looking for a Geo-GPS Spoofing Cybersecurity Specialist to lead our efforts in detecting, analyzing, and mitigating positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) threats.
Position Summary: In this role, you will be the subject matter expert on GNSS vulnerabilities, RF (Radio Frequency) signal analysis, and anti-spoofing countermeasures. You will work closely with our engineering, threat intelligence, and red-team operations to simulate attack scenarios, harden hardware/software architectures, and develop real-time detection systems for location-based spoofing.
Key Responsibilities: Threat Analysis & Research: Investigate emerging techniques in GPS/GNSS spoofing, meaconing, and signal jamming impacting mobile, IoT, aviation, and maritime assets. Architecture Hardening: Design and implement robust anti-spoofing and authentication mechanisms for PNT systems (e.g., cryptographic signal authentication, multi-sensor data fusion).Simulations & Testing: Conduct controlled RF spoofing and penetration testing in lab and field environments to evaluate system resilience. Detection & Incident Response: Build monitoring tools and algorithms to detect anomalous location shifts, signal power discrepancies, and clock drift in real time. Collaboration: Partner with software and hardware engineering teams to integrate security best practices directly into product lifecycles. Reporting & Strategy: Deliver technical briefings and threat intelligence reports to executive leadership and key enterprise clients.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, RF engineering, or wireless communications security, with a specific focus on GNSS/GPS technologies. Technical Proficiencies: Deep understanding of GNSS architectures (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou) and signal structures. Proficiency with Software Defined Radios (SDRs) such as USRP, HackRF, or BladeRF, and tools like GNURadio. Experience with sensor fusion (combining GPS with IMUs, wheel odometers, or computer vision) for navigation resilience. Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in Python, C++, or MATLAB for data analysis, signal processing, and automation. Security Knowledge: Familiarity with cryptographic protocols, secure boot, and hardware security modules (HSMs).
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Preferred Qualifications: Experience securing critical infrastructure, autonomous vehicles (AVs), or defense systems. Familiarity with commercial anti-spoofing modules or civil tiered authentication services (e.g., Galileo OSNMA).Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, OSCP, or specialized RF/wireless security credentials).
What We Offer: Competitive Salary & Equity: Highly competitive compensation package commensurate with experience.
Comprehensive Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance with 100% premium coverage options, plus a 401(k) matching program.
Flexible Work Environment: Remote-first culture with access to state-of-the-art lab facilities. Continuous Learning: Annual stipend for conferences, certifications, and technical training. Requirements must be US citizen

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
