Role Description: The Architectural Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Farmingville, NY. This role is responsible for managing architectural projects from concept through completion, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating design and construction activities. Daily responsibilities include overseeing project documentation, reviewing drawings and specifications, managing submittals, and communicating with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure project requirements, budget, and timelines are met. The Architectural Project Manager guides internal project teams, supports quality control processes, and ensures compliance with building codes, industry standards, and, when applicable, LEED and other sustainability guidelines. The role also involves participating in site visits, monitoring construction progress, and addressing field conditions or design clarifications as needed.
Qualifications: Candidates should possess strong project coordination skills, including scheduling, task management, and stakeholder communication. Candidates should possess experience in managing submittals, RFIs, and other construction-phase documentation. Candidates should possess a solid foundation in architecture, including design development, code review, and building systems understanding. Candidates should possess proficiency in preparing and reviewing construction drawings and specifications. Candidates should possess knowledge of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) principles and sustainable design practices. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field; professional licensure or progress toward licensure is preferred. Proficiency in relevant design and documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office).Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Experience in construction administration, including site observations and coordination with contractors, is beneficial.
