Job Description: Job Description Production & Delivery AssociatePart-Time | 3 Days per Week | Opportunity for Additional HoursClear Cut Ice New York is looking for a dependable, hardworking Production & Delivery Associate to join our growing craft ice operation. The Ideal candidate is looking for a long term growth opportunity This is primarily a hands-on factory position, with the majority of the work involving the production, handling, and packaging of ice. A significant portion of each shift will be spent working inside a walk-in freezer at freezing temperatures, so candidates must be comfortable working in a cold environment for extended periods.
Responsibilities: Bag, package, organize, and prepare ice for customer orders Spend extended periods working inside a walk-in freezer/freezing environment Pull finished ice from production machines and refill/reset machines for the next production cycle Assist with cutting and processing large-format craft ice Learn to safely operate ice-cutting and production equipment Maintain a clean and organized production facility Sweep, clean, sanitize, remove waste, and perform other general shop duties Load and organize orders for delivery Occasionally make deliveries throughout New York City, Long Island, and surrounding areas should current driver need assistance Assist with miscellaneous production, warehouse, or delivery tasks as they arise
Ideal Candidate: Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with physical, hands-on work Comfortable working for extended periods in freezing temperatures Able to lift, carry, and move bags and blocks of ice throughout a shift Willing to learn ice-cutting and production equipment Previous production, warehouse, food-service, or manufacturing experience is a plus**NYC delivery/driving experience not required but a strong addition Comfortable driving and making commercial deliveries in Manhattan and the surrounding New York area Able to work independently and efficiently while also being part of a small team Valid driver's license and a clean/reliable driving record preferred Schedule The position will initially be approximately three days per week Monday, Tuesday Thursday, with the opportunity to add additional days and hours as the company continues to grow. There may also be opportunities for additional shifts, ad hoc deliveries, production work, and other tasks depending on business needs. We're looking for someone who wants to become a dependable part of a growing small business and is willing to take on additional responsibility as the position develops. Compensation will depend heavily on experience and skill set, with opportunities for higher compensation as you learn additional aspects of production, ice cutting, equipment operation, and delivery
