HOUSE MANAGER / PERSONAL ASSISTANTLakewood, Washington | Full-Time | $30–$38/hour Cochran Holdings, LLC is seeking an experienced, highly organized, proactive, and trustworthy House Manager / Personal Assistant to become an essential part of a busy private family's household and daily operations. This is a hands-on, multifaceted position for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people, solving problems, staying organized, and making sure things get done. The right person will become a trusted extension of the owner — someone who can anticipate needs, take ownership, exercise good judgment, and keep both the big picture and small details in view.
About the Role:
No two days will be exactly alike. Responsibilities will include a combination of household management, personal assistance, administrative support, errands, family logistics, pets, travel, and special projects.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing calendars, appointments, schedules, reminders, and household priorities Coordinating vendors, contractors, cleaners, handymen, and household projects Monitoring the home and proactively identifying maintenance, repair, cleaning, and organizational needs Supervising the full-time housekeeper and providing backup household support when needed Organizing household spaces, supplies, storage, inventories, and seasonal décor Managing paperwork, receipts, spreadsheets, records, and digital files Conducting research and tracking tasks and priorities using Air Table Handling email, phone, and text communication professionally Running errands, shopping, handling dry cleaning and Post Office trips, and managing household deliveries Managing vehicle maintenance, registration, and service appointments Supporting family travel, including packing, unpacking, logistics, and passport renewals Assisting with events, holidays, décor, vendors, setup, and takedown Providing occasional assistance with school transportation and family needs Caring for the family's dogs and coordinating veterinary and daycare needs Providing house and pet sitting and occasional overnight care House and pet sitting is an important part of this position. The family has established annual travel periods, including Thanksgiving week and December 26 through January 1, when the House Manager will be responsible for house and pet care or, with owner approval, help coordinate a trusted backup. The family also travels throughout the year, so occasional overnight care will be required. Additional compensation is provided for approved house-sitting and overnight care. Exceptional candidates without direct private-service experience may also be considered if they demonstrate maturity, initiative, organization, resourcefulness, and a genuine willingness to learn.
Compensation & Benefits:
$30–$38/hour, depending on experience and qualifications Full-time, hourly, non-exempt position Overtime paid in accordance with applicable Washington law Two weeks paid vacation after six months of employment$250 healthcare stipend per paycheck after one year of employment 10 paid holidays Discretionary year-end performance bonus Vehicle provided for work-related errands and transportation Additional compensation for approved house-sitting and overnight care The general schedule is Monday–Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with flexibility required for occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, overnight care, and changing family needs.
