Patient Services Representative The Patient Services Representative (PSR) in the dental office ensures patient satisfaction by delivering excellent customer service and providing essential administrative support. The PSR communicates effectively with patients, manages appointments, verifies insurance information, and maintains accurate records while upholding patient confidentiality and adhering to relevant healthcare laws and :Accurately input and retrieve information in the Electronic Medical Record system to maintain the integrity of the Health Information Record. Schedule appointments, complete pre-registration tasks, and verify demographic and insurance information for precise billing. Coordinate patient flow, ensuring confidentiality, and recognizing when clinical healthcare staff intervention is required. Participate in patient care teams, offering Care Coordination services, and contributing to Quality Improvement and Assurance activities. Handle prior authorizations, referrals, and provide specialist resource and track patient information necessary meetings. Fulfill other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent (GED).Minimum of one year of customer service experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
Preferred: Associate's Degree in a related field.
Preferred: Thorough knowledge of medical terminology.
Preferred: Three years of customer service experience.
Preferred: Three years of relevant healthcare experience.
Preferred: Proficiency in using an Electronic Medical Record system.
Physical Requirements: The role entails periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stooping. Job-related stress may be significant. Evening and/or weekend work could be necessary. The position may involve lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying objects up to ten pounds. Please note that the hourly rate for the Patient Services Representative position ranges from $16.76 to $20.24.
