DESIGN OPERATIONS AND PROCUREMENT COORDINATORLaura Abrams Design is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Design Coordinator to assist in multiple aspects of the design business. Experience working for a residential interior design firm is required. Familiarity with the interior design procurement process, furniture trade vendors and industry terminology is essential. This role is ideal for someone who loves spreadsheets, systems and organization. You should be someone who remembers details, follows through without being reminded, catches discrepancies, communicates clearly and enjoys bringing structure to a busy creative environment. Required Skills + Education Bachelors Degree in Interior Design or related field Experience with Design Manager software Mac Proficiency including Keynote and Numbers Strong spreadsheet skills using Numbers for Mac Trade Furniture + Material vendor knowledge Strong written and verbal communication skills Highly organized and able to work efficiently and independently Experience with procurement, purchasing and order management Additional skills Experience with any of the following is a plus Social media and marketing - Instagram and Newsletters Sketch up Auto Cad Asana Role: Design Operations and Procurement Assist with onboarding clients, scheduling, task management Maintain client, vendor and trade correspondence Create finish schedules and pricing spreadsheets using Numbers for Mac Pricing and proposals using Design Manager software Issue and organize purchase orders, vendor invoices Organize files in drop box Review order acknowledgments for accuracy Track and expedite orders Create and organize SOP’s, checklists and workflow templates in Asana and drop box Schedule deliveries and follow up with deficiencies Project and Design Support Assist Designer in project preparation assembly and presentation Prepare or update CAD or Sketch up drawings if proficient Occasional support with sourcing furniture, lighting, plumbing, materials, finishes, and accessories Studio Support Assist with marketing such as social media, newsletters and blog posts Develop email templates, welcome materials or other client facing documents Assist with client gifts, marketing items, purchases and styling for photo shoots Update and maintain resource library Research and help implement technology and AI tools that improve firm efficiency About Laura Abrams DesignLAD is a boutique interior design firm based in Carmel Valley, San Diego that focuses on new construction design, large scale residential remodels and home furnishings projects. Our clientele is primarily between La Jolla and Encinitas. We provide full service design and work closely with contractors and clients during the entire process from start to finish. Our projects typically take 6 months to 18 months and many of our clients are returning clients and referrals. Our goal is to create a beautiful space that will bring peace and joy to our clients for years to come, and for them to enjoy the design process from beginning to end. This is achieved by listening closely, respecting their goals and budget, and by maintaining strong working relationships with industry professionals.
