About the role
- Contact customers via phone, email, and written communication regarding outstanding balances
- Negotiate repayment plans and settlements based on customer situations
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all collection activities
- Conduct research to locate customers and verify contact information (skip tracing)
- Review account details and assess repayment ability
- Provide professional and empathetic customer service while resolving payment issues
- Ensure all collection activities comply with company policies and applicable laws
- Prepare reports on collection progress and account status
- Collaborate with internal teams and management on escalated cases
- Previous experience in collections, customer service, call center, or related field preferred
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to handle a high volume of calls and tasks efficiently
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
- Basic computer skills (CRM systems, databases, or similar tools)
- Supportive and team-oriented work environment
