Mail & Print Services Assistant - Level 1The Mail & Print Services Assistant supports daily mailroom and print operations for an onsite office environment. This role focuses on processing incoming packages, routing mail accurately, and using computer-based tools to ensure shipments reach the correct destination. It is an entry-level position suited to individuals with 02 years of experience in mailroom, shipping and receiving, or related office support functions, and offers the potential for extension and future full-time conversion.ResponsibilitiesReceive and process packages delivered to the facility, including pallets of packages arriving by truck.Load packages onto the conveyor system and monitor their movement to the processing station.Work at an individual processing station to inspect package labels and verify shipment details.Use track shipment tools and computer systems to identify the correct destination for each package.Print and apply accurate routing labels to packages to ensure timely delivery within the building or campus.Support general mailroom operations, including mail sorting, filing, and scanning as needed.Provide courteous customer service to internal stakeholders regarding mail, packages, and print services.Perform basic data entry and documentation related to incoming and outgoing shipments.Collaborate with the broader office and soft services team while managing individual workload and tasks.Follow established safety and handling procedures when working with packages and equipment.Essential SkillsBasic computer skills with the ability to perform a significant portion of daily work on computers.Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite for basic office tasks.02 years of experience in entry-level roles such as mailroom, shipping and receiving, or office support.High school diploma or equivalent education.Ability to read and interpret package labels and routing information accurately.Attention to detail when processing, labeling, and routing packages.Basic customer service skills for interacting with internal clients and team members.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrior shipping or receiving experience, even at a basic level.Warehouse or logistics experience in a package-handling environment.Experience with filing and scanning documents.Comfort working with track shipment tools or similar routing systems.Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.Work EnvironmentThis is a fully onsite role in a professional office and campus setting. The position is part of an office and soft services team but involves working independently at an individual processing station within the mailroom and package handling area. The workday centers around receiving packages from trucks, moving them onto a conveyor system, and processing them at a designated station using computers and tracking tools. Basic office technology, including computers and the Microsoft Office Suite, is used regularly to manage shipments and documentation. The environment is structured, safety-conscious, and focused on efficient mail and print services.
