About the role

Oracle Fusion Time and Labor & Absence Functional Consultant Contract: Full-time contract, October 2026 – June 2027 (extension possible) Go-Live: January 2027
About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion Time and Labor (OTL) and Absence Management Functional Consultant to support a major Oracle Fusion implementation. You will work closely with Finance, Operations, super users and business users throughout UAT, go-live and the post-go-live stabilization period. The role focuses on functional support, troubleshooting and issue resolution. You will be expected to investigate issues independently, communicate clearly with users and understand the impact across connected Oracle Fusion modules. Experience with Oracle Absence Management is particularly valuable, as this is an area where the organisation is looking to strengthen its internal capability.
Key Responsibilities: Provide functional support for Oracle Fusion Time and Labor and Absence Management. Support users and super users throughout UAT, go-live and post-go-live stabilization. Troubleshoot timecard entry, time categories, time rules and approval workflows. Investigate issues affecting time capture and the transfer of labour costs to projects. Support Oracle Fusion Absence Management, including absence plans, types, accruals and approval processes. Understand the relationship between Time and Labor, Absence Management, project costing and payroll interfaces. Support Oracle Expense Management-related queries and processes, where applicable. Investigate user-reported issues and identify root causes. Work closely with Finance and super users to understand and resolve issues. Escalate system changes and configuration requirements through established governance. Support reporting requirements in collaboration with central teams. Create and maintain functional documentation and knowledge base content. Support knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Required Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on Oracle Fusion functional experience. Experience across at least two complete Oracle Fusion implementation lifecycles, including post-go-live support. Strong experience in both Oracle Fusion Time and Labor and Absence Management. Experience supporting time entry, approvals, time rules and absence processes. Understanding of the integration between time capture, project costing and payroll. Experience working directly with business users and super users. Practical troubleshooting and issue investigation experience. Oracle Fusion Expense Management experience is highly desirable. Practical experience with OTBI and BI Publisher is beneficial.
Personal Profile: Strong communication skills and the ability to speak the same language as business users. Able to simplify complex functional concepts and explain processes clearly. Business-facing and user-focused, rather than solely technical or configuration-oriented. Patient, approachable and comfortable supporting users. Able to investigate issues independently and escalate appropriately. Comfortable working within a structured governance model. Proactive in identifying recurring issues and supporting continuous improvement.
Additional Requirements: Based in a compatible time zone for business hours. English required; French is an advantage. Ability to travel as required. Availability to support the implementation, go-live and post-go-live stabilization period.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
