The CRNA Lead provides professional, competent anesthesia care to a wide variety of patients, from pediatric up to geriatric population, requiring surgical, obstetrical, and other anesthesia services. This opportunity will include a mixture of helping run the OR board and taking on assignments. This role is ideal for experienced CRNAs looking to grow their leadership skills within a high-performing, collaborative team. A unique afternoon lead opportunity: No weekends, no call, no holidays Open to lots of schedule options: 4 days a week preferred Access to continuing education and leadership support Inclusive culture grounded in teamwork, trust, and shared purpose What You'll DoFacilitate day to day schedule management Supervise anesthesia technicians Running the board for evening CRNAs Manage traumas and flow Prepare for emergencies Assure policies/procedures are adhered to Deliver safe and effective anesthesia care to pediatrics through geriatric populations Administer anesthetics for a wide variety of surgical and non-surgical procedures Collaborate with OR leaders: anesthesiologists, surgeons, and surgical teams Adjust anesthetic plans as needed based on changing patient status Practice independently within full CRNA scope of privileges Location review: Presbyterian Medical Center - Charlotte, NC; 9 ORs, ~19,500 cases/years, level II trauma What We're Looking ForEducation : Bachelor's Degree required. BSN required. Graduate from both an accredited School of Nursing and School of Nurse Anesthesia. Listed on the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and recognized by the state of practice as an Advanced Practitioner. Must have 40 hours of continuing education every two years to maintain CRNA certification.
Experience: Minimum of five years’ experience as a CRNA required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current RN licensure in appropriate state required. CRNA by NBCRNA required.
Additional Skills Required: Must have extensive knowledge of current anesthetic agents, techniques, drugs and equipment. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify the anesthetic care suitable to patient age. Must have considerable ability to make independent decisions, sometimes under stress, and to maintain a professional demeanor with patients, coworkers and physicians. Why Choose Novant Health?
