Biomedical Technician at Avita Ontario Hospital Avita Health System is proud to serve the communities of Crawford and Richland counties through three hospitals and numerous clinic locations. Over the past few years, we've tripled in size, now employing over 2,300 team members and more than 200 physicians and advanced practitioners. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to the people who depend on us. We're currently seeking a dedicated Biomedical Technician to join our Biomed Department at our Ontario location.
Position Overview:
The Biomedical Technician is responsible for testing, repairing, and maintaining medical devices within the organization in accordance to CMS, NFPA, and NAIHO standards. The Biomedical Technician takes direction from the Biomedical Manager to maintain organizational compliance with CMS, NFPA, NAIHO, and other industry standards to ensure a safe environment in regards to medical equipment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
Required:
Associate of Applied Science Degree (Electronic Engineering Technology or Biomedical Engineering Technology or equivalent) or equivalent training required (e.g. military).One year previous experience working with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering environment preferred.
Preferred:
- Two years of previous experience working with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering environment preferred.
