About the role

About The Role: Barn Tools is looking for a motivated Iowa State student with an agriculture background and an affinity for technology to join our team as a Customer Support & AgTech Intern. This internship is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of agriculture, technology, customer support, and a growing startup environment. You will work directly with customers and our internal teams to troubleshoot problems, test products, analyze data, and identify opportunities to improve our solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Support customers with technical questions, troubleshooting, product setup, and software configuration. Help customers use Barn Tools hardware, mobile applications, and web-based software. Prepare and ship customer orders; some light physical activity is required. Assist with field testing, product deployments, and occasional customer visits. Analyze customer and product data to help identify issues and opportunities for improvement. Work with the Barn Tools team to identify and implement product and process improvements based on customer feedback. Assist the Sales team with trade shows, exhibitions, demonstrations, and sales enablement activities. Communicate customer feedback and product issues to our Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success teams. Take ownership of problems and follow them through to resolution while striving to exceed customer expectations.
About You: Currently pursuing a degree at Iowa State University, preferably with an agriculture, animal science, agricultural engineering, technology, or related background. Interested in the intersection of agriculture and technology. Comfortable working with technology and learning new software and hardware systems. Enjoy solving problems and helping people. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proactive, curious, organized, and willing to take on new challenges. Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment where every day can be different. Willing to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Most importantly, you are passionate about agriculture and want to help farmers and producers use technology to solve real-world problems.
