Description: Johnson Lumber Ace Hardware is a family-owned and operated, full-service lumberyard and hardware store that has proudly served the Bay Area since 1980. We are looking for a motivated, customer-focused Sales Representative to join our Lumber Sales Department. Lumber or building materials experience is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right person who is eager to learn, grow, and build a career with our company.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide in-person and phone sales and customer service
  • Assist customers with product selection, quotes, and building material solutions
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships
  • Process orders and payments using a POS system
  • Handle special orders, deliveries, and customer inquiries
  • Communicate with vendors regarding pricing and product availability
  • Place orders and create purchase orders
  • Answer phones and stock products as needed
  • Help generate sales and support overall business growth
Qualifications:
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to learn product knowledge and building materials
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Computer/POS experience is a plus
  • Previous lumber, hardware, or building materials experience is a plus, but not required
