Role Description: This is a part-time remote role for a Payroll Specialist at John Deere. The Payroll Specialist will accurately process payroll for assigned employee groups, ensuring timely payments and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining payroll records, managing garnishments, calculating payroll taxes, and coordinating with payroll service providers as needed. The role also involves resolving payroll-related inquiries, performing reconciliations, supporting audits, and collaborating with HR and Finance teams to improve payroll procedures and employee experiences.
Qualifications: Candidates should possess strong skills in Payroll Processing and Payroll Administration. Candidates should possess skills in managing Garnishments and coordinating with Payroll Services. Candidates should possess knowledge of Payroll Taxes and related regulatory compliance. Attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical skills, and proficiency with payroll software and Excel. Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and communicate clearly with employees and internal partners. Experience in payroll, accounting, or HR operations; familiarity with multi-state or international payroll is a plus. Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
