In this role, you'll learn foundational machining skills while supporting daily operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, eager to develop technical expertise, and ready to master precision measurement, machine setup basics, and consistent production workflows. You will work alongside experienced machinists, follow established quality standards, maintain a clean workstation, and contribute to efficient, reliable output. Responsibilities:
  • Setup machine as appropriate to machine specifications
  • Setup and operate computer numerical control (CNC) and/or manual machines.
  • Perform highly repetitive short-cycle machine operations associated with quantity production of identical units
  • Ability to read and edit programs using Fagor or Fanuc controls
  • Work from written procedures, complex drawings and blueprints, sketches, operations sheets, specifications and instructions to plan work operations
  • Prove out programs and edits as necessary
  • Must know G-CodeUse and interpret precision measuring instruments
  • Changes tool off sets to maintain dimensions per production drawings
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Maintain required time, production and quality records
  • Determine and report any inefficiencies, defective materials, unusual conditions and machining issues
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required 1+ years of experience in similar capacity preferred
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Operate a variety of computer numeric control (CNC)
  • Check accuracy of work using precision measuring instruments
  • Must be able to handle large and heavy parts using overhead cranes and other material handling equipment
  • Shop environment, exposed to shop elements
  • May work in tight and/or cramped spaces
  • Walking, standing, lifting, stooping, reaching
  • Physical demand to make setups and perform machining operations
  • Some lifting of various weights, both assisted and unassisted
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Teamwork and communication skills
