Senior Software Engineer- Interactive

Responsibilities: Develop new features and maintain existing features within the RGS Platform Software for the Interactive department. Assist in diagnosing performance issues and optimizing application performance, scalability, and memory management. Contribute to the design and implementation of integrations with third-party casino operators and game content suppliers into the platform. Participate in all aspects of development, including gathering requirements, design, development, documentation, deployment, and maintenance. Implement new technologies to support game platform scalability and performance. Collaborate with game developers when designing the communication layer between the platform and game engine.

Skills and Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).9+ years of professional backend software development experience, with success building distributed and high-transaction systems. Hands-on ability to leverage AI coding agents to accelerate feature delivery while maintaining high code quality. Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Codex, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery speed. Strong expertise in Java (8–21) and the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC).Hands-on experience with Spring Boot or similar Java application servers. Working knowledge of both MongoDB and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).Proficiency with Git, build tools (Gradle or Maven), Docker, and CI/CD automation (Jenkins or comparable).Candidates must be able to clearly explain recent production systems they have built or contributed to (architecture, scale, and role).Strong experience building and operating backend services handling real-time or transactional workloads (e.g., gaming, fintech, payments, trading).

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-scale, real-time transactional systems (e.g., gaming, fintech, payments).Strong understanding of performance tuning and memory management in Java. Familiarity with security best practices in distributed systems (authentication, authorization, data protection).Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., GLI, PCI, SOC2).Experience with Linux-based production environments.
