We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Bookkeeper with proven experience in the construction industry and Sage expertise. This role will be responsible for handling all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, account reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and supporting the month-end and year-end close processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing
Perform daily and monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
Prepare and post journal entries and adjustments
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
Support and execute month-end and year-end closing processes
Ensure all financial data is accurate, complete, and complies with GAAP
Collaborate with project managers to track costs, billing, and job profitability
Maintain proper documentation for all accounting transactions
Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting documentation as needed
Utilize Sage for all accounting functions and reporting
Qualifications:
Minimum 3+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience , preferably in the construction industry
Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct is REQUIRED
Proficiency in MS Excel and general accounting software
Strong understanding of account reconciliations , AP/AR , and journal entry preparation
Knowledge of construction job costing is a plus
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Pay $32 to 37$
