About the role

Facilities Manager – Seattle
Location: Seattle, Washington
Employment Type: Full-time
Position Overview: The Facilities Manager serves as the primary point of contact for facilities management at the assigned Seattle site. This role partners with the Regional Manager, Corporate Real Estate, Infrastructure & Corporate Citizenship (ICC) leadership, occupants, property management, building engineering, security, janitorial providers, vendors, and other service partners to deliver safe, reliable, and customer-focused facility services. The Facilities Manager coordinates tenant needs, manages service delivery, tracks performance, and drives timely resolution of facility issues. The role provides local oversight and coordination while respecting the responsibilities and authority of property management, building engineering, security, Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), emergency response, and other designated authorities.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Operations and Customer Service: The Facilities Manager serves as the single point of accountability for efficient and timely execution of facility-management processes for assigned buildings, including 24/7 operational accountability as required. As the primary tenant-facing liaison for facility-related requests, this role coordinates activities with property management, landlords, building engineering, security, janitorial providers, vendors, and other service providers. Responsibilities include receiving, prioritizing, coordinating, tracking, and closing facility requests and work orders while maintaining accurate records of the requestor, location, description, priority, assigned party, target completion date, status, and resolution. Work is prioritized based on safety, security, business impact, operational urgency, service levels, and available resources. The Facilities Manager validates completion with requestors and documents unresolved or recurring issues. This role resolves facility-management issues at the site, escalates matters that exceed assigned authority, approved scope, or available funding, and provides timely status updates to occupants and leadership. The position conducts informational client meetings as required and monitors customer satisfaction and service-quality performance against agreed-upon KPIs. Additionally, the Facilities Manager coordinates ad hoc facility-related requests from ICC leadership and tenants by assessing feasibility, timing, cost, safety, required approvals, property-management impacts, and constraints.
Site Services and Workplace Support: The Facilities Manager coordinates routine and special deliveries, including oversized, time-sensitive, and event-related shipments. The role manages conference-room setup, reset, readiness, and post-event restoration, arranging additional event services only when separately authorized and funded. Responsibilities include coordinating moves, adds, and changes involving furniture, equipment, signage, rooms, and space while managing scheduling, vendor access, post-move restoration, and facility-system impacts. When included in the approved scope, the Facilities Manager coordinates badge requests, access changes, replacements, deactivations, records, and interfaces with security and property-management teams. Final access decisions and security approvals remain with the designated authority. The position coordinates service for tenant-owned appliances and equipment and maintains visibility to preventive-maintenance schedules, service dates, deficiencies, vendor visits, and follow-up actions. The Facilities Manager monitors emergency-supply availability and condition, coordinates replenishment, and supports facility-related communications, access, space readiness, vendor coordination, and documentation during disruptions. Additional duties include coordinating HVAC comfort concerns such as temperature, airflow, humidity, and odors by routing investigations to property management or building engineering, tracking recurring issues, and communicating interim measures and resolution status. The role also monitors snack and beverage areas, coordinates approved replenishment and vendor support, and reports shortages, waste, recurring issues, and improvement opportunities.
Safety, Standards, and Compliance: The Facilities Manager establishes and maintains a safety-first culture for employees, subcontractors, suppliers, visitors, and occupants. This includes promoting safe work practices, timely training, applicable best practices, and recognition of safe behavior. The role supports and implements safety tools and processes such as Take 2s, Pre-Task Plans, Safe Operating Practices, Safety Observation Tours, and incident investigations using methods such as 5 Whys. The Facilities Manager conducts Safety Observation Tours and monitors facility conditions, hazards, housekeeping, common areas, work areas, conference rooms, kitchens, refreshment areas, restrooms, and other assigned spaces. Responsibilities include documenting findings, coordinating corrective actions, and tracking completion while recognizing that formal EHS inspections, audits, regulatory inspections, and emergency response remain with the designated authority. The position coordinates cleaning, replenishment, waste removal, spills, special cleaning, event cleanup, and recurring housekeeping deficiencies with property management or the janitorial provider. The Facilities Manager ensures applicable regulatory and standard safety requirements are in place and administered and participates in energy and environmental meetings with follow-up on identified issues.
Financial, Vendor, and Performance Management: The Facilities Manager manages operating-expense budgets for assigned responsibilities, including monthly variance reporting, and initiates purchase-order requests for goods and services within the assigned scope and funding authority. The role manages subcontractors and suppliers to deliver goods and services in accordance with contracts, service levels, safety expectations, and customer requirements. Working with the Regional Manager, the Facilities Manager oversees maintenance and repair services and drives continuous improvement in service quality, productivity, and client partnership. Additional responsibilities include fostering a collaborative, high-energy team environment and matrix-managing technical and administrative personnel as applicable. The position maintains visibility to open work, recurring issues, risks, escalations, corrective actions, service gaps, and improvement opportunities. Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
