About the role
Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician ($35-45 p/hr)We have an exciting opportunity available for an Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to work for a stable and growing manufacturer in the Auburn, NY area.
Day Shift: M-F 7:00AM - 3:30PM
Duties Include:
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems. Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems, including motors, drives, PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and related components. Diagnose and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems, instrumentation, controls, and automated equipment. Complete work orders, PM documentation, and maintenance records while identifying root causes of recurring equipment issues. Support equipment installations, continuous improvement initiatives, and safe operations, including OSHA and lockout/tagout requirements.
Education & Experience:
Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent experience in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field.2+ years of industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or electro-mechanical experience preferred. Strong electrical troubleshooting skills with knowledge of motors, VFDs, controls, and PLCs; Allen-Bradley PLC troubleshooting experience preferred. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment and read electrical/mechanical schematics and drawings. Welding/fabrication experience and knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance practices are preferred.
