About the role
Accounting Manager – Temporary Contract (6 Months) We are working with an organization seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a 6-month, fully remote contract assignment. This senior-level role will provide hands-on accounting and payroll support while assisting with ERP implementation, payroll process transitions, and ongoing financial operations.
Position Details
Title: Accounting Manager
Duration: 6-month contract
Location: Fully remote
Key Responsibilities:
Research and resolve outstanding payroll tax notices by communicating with tax agencies, reviewing documentation, and responding to vendor support tickets.
Support the Finance & Accounting team with NetSuite stabilization, enhancements, testing, implementation activities, and process improvements.
Document accounting procedures and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) by collaborating with team members to understand existing workflows.
Assist with payroll operations and the transition to new payroll processes within Dayforce, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
Support Form 990 preparation, business tax notices, and grant-related accounting activities.
Provide general ledger support and additional accounting oversight to maintain accurate financial reporting.
Monitor project timelines, track deliverables, and ensure key deadlines are met across multiple initiatives.
Provide supplemental accounting support to maintain operational continuity during a period of reduced staffing and ongoing system-related changes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.7+ years of payroll processing or payroll management experience.
Experience working with grants and grant accounting.
NetSuite ERP experience strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of NetSuite and/or Dayforce.
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with nonprofit accounting, particularly within 501(c)(3) and/or 501(c)(6) organizations, is helpful.
Strong research, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fully remote environment.
