Procurement Student Assistant The Department of Computer Science is looking for an organized, reliable, customer service-oriented student assistant to support the purchasing unit in the Gates Dell Complex. Student positions within the Department of Computer Science purchasing unit are an excellent employment opportunity for students interested in developing professional and interpersonal skills, while also working with our dynamic and knowledgeable Information Technology staff. Applicants with previous inventory experience will be considered for a lead role. This position will develop skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, confidentiality, communication, customer service, and clerical skills. All majors are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities: Assist with inventory processes and procedures Assist the Purchasing Officer with inventory item tracking Assist the Purchasing Officer with database data entry Organize and maintain inventory collections and mailroom boxes Communicate with faculty, staff, and students regarding status updates on pending & received orders Assist with Inventory Reporting. Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications: Reliable
Preferred Qualifications: One year of clerical working experience Salary Range$12 - $15 per hour depending on qualifications
Working Conditions: Standard office conditions Lifting/moving up to 30 lbs Work Shift Hours available M-F between 8am-5pm, exact schedule to be arranged with supervisor Required Materials Resume/CV and work schedule
