About the role

Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Accountant to manage financial operations and essential administrative workflows. This role focuses on real estate transaction accounting, trust account compliance, and general legal office administration. The ideal candidate possesses strong mathematical precision, an understanding of legal accounting ethics.
Key Responsibilities: Perform reconciliations for legal trust accounts. Ensure compliance with South Carolina Bar trust accounting rules. Disburse funds and cut checks for real estate closings and settlements. Monitor incoming wire transfers and verify funding before disbursements. Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Prepare and organize real estate closing packages and legal documents. File financial records, closing statements, and invoices systematically. Serve as a primary point of contact for banks, title companies, and clients regarding financial matters. Assist legal staff with day-to-day office operations and data entry.
Qualifications & Skills: 2 years in legal accounting, bookkeeping, or real estate or similar areas. Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience is preferred Exceptional attention to detail, strong ethical standards, and excellent communication skills.
