Job Title: Scheduling Coordinator
Location: Miami, FL (On-Site)
Position Type: Temporary (6-Month Contract)

Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Log Coordinator to produce accurate 24-hour broadcast schedules. In this role, you will align network goals by executing strategies specified by Ad Sales, Programming, and On-Air departments. Your primary focus will be optimizing commercial spot placement, managing inventory to maximize revenue, and maintaining an attractive, informative on-air look.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Commercial Placement (60%):Use Landmark to arrange commercial spots per client instructions and priority tokens.
  • Manage limbo spots and preempt unplaceable inventory with appropriate rationale.
  • Feedback programming limitations to Commercial Ops to maximize revenue opportunity.
  • Enforce competitive separation rules and maintain fair rotation across advertisers.
  • Resolve line-booking restrictions and manually place high-priority sponsor insertions.
  • Comply with country-specific governmental minutage regulations during break adjustments.
  • Verify spot transfers between Landmark and Vision systems, facilitating late orders to capture revenue.
  • Commercial Timing & Log Preparation (20%):Build schedules approximately 14 days in advance of air date.
  • Adjust commercial break durations against program segment times to yield exact 24-hour logs.
  • Audit program templates and verify Ad Sales avail availability in key hours.
  • Request programming changes to maintain a balanced distribution of ad and promo time.
  • Modify logs as programming updates based on weekly rating trends, pushing final breaks to Sales systems.
  • Graphics & Secondary Events (5%):Implement Ad Sales Secondary Event Strategy using Vision based on client requests.
  • Confirm scheduling of secondary graphic elements to Sales Planners.
  • Audit automated events (menus, next-ons, legal disclaimers) across channels, feeds, and regions.
  • Media Planning Collaboration (5%):Manually schedule promotional stunts for original and priority programming.
  • Upload promo files containing reserved promo time and unsold inventory.
  • Verify system-to-system promo transfers and execute post-upload promo changes requested by Media Planning.
  • Exact Time & Final Log Review (10%):Perform end-to-end technical audits to ensure all elements upload successfully into the log.
  • Eliminate gaps and overlaps to ensure programs start and end on grid schedule.
  • Validate program segmentation order, affiliate cable break placements, and updated material durations.
  • Confirm channel logo applications and fulfill all feed-specific legal requirements.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bilingual fluency in English and/or Spanish (written and oral).Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and precision.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to last-minute scheduling changes.
