About the role
- Enter customer orders accurately and completely into the company system
- Process customer payments and ensure transactions are applied to the proper accounts
- Handle cash and other forms of payment in accordance with company policies
- Prepare daily deposits following company procedures
- Answer incoming calls and respond to customer questions professionally and promptly
- Schedule customer deliveries accurately and conveniently
- Maintain open orders and communicate order and delivery updates to customers
- Research and resolve customer questions or concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Complete daily reports and required office tasks
- Support showroom operations, including displays, tagging, and maintaining a customer-friendly environment
- Work closely with sales and office team members to support an exceptional customer experience
- Assist the Office Manager with additional responsibilities as needed
- High school diploma or GEDStrong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and listening skills
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and ExcelStrong cash-handling and basic math skills
- Ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, and other basic figures
- Strong organization and multitasking skills
- Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Ability to use sound judgment when handling customer or vendor questions and concerns
- Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Bilingual skills are a plus
