About the role

Clinical Dietary Position Assists in screening patients at nutritional risk. Under supervision, modifies daily menus in accordance with patient's diet prescription, implements nutrition care plan, and provides consultation to patient and family as directed. Documents patient's nutritional screening/assessment information. With Manager of Nutrition and Dietetics, Manages and edits CBORD menu system for site. Answers telephones and relays information to kitchen staff concerning diet changes, meal changes, complaints, food allergies, or patient discharge. Participates in food service tray-line production and ensures patient meal tray accuracy. Under dietitian's supervision, participates in training and orienting of new employees to the department, tray line, and diet office. Screens patients admitted to assigned units to determine nutrition risk(s).Obtains and evaluates dietary histories of individuals. Identifies patients at high nutrition risk, and refers them to the dietitian, as dietitian's supervision, provides basic medical nutrition therapy to low risk patients in completing special selective menus. Assists dietitians in food service monitoring and planning. Performs related duties as required. Work Shift: Flex Days/Shifts - 7:00AM - 3:00PM & 11:00AM - 7:00PM /Rotating Weekends & Holiday Coverage
