About the role

We are searching for an experienced Analyst, Consumer Insights for our StoreSupport Center located at 600 Citadel Drive, Commerce, CA, 90040. SUMMARY Responsible for consumer,market and competitive research efforts that will guide marketing initiativesand corporate strategies. The primary focus of this position will be to gain anexpert level of competence with two mobile data tools. The successful candidate will lead the miningof data insights from these tools to support the CUSA retail banners variousdepartments including Marketing, Merchandising, Operations and Store Design andConstruction and Strategy. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Influencesand gains approval ofstrategy developmentand structure around current consumer insights data and usage within the company withgoalof deepening the understanding ofcompany’starget customers. Providesexpert-leveland statistically-soundqualitative research andmethodologydesignthat directly results in high-quality validresearchstudies,surveys,and analytics. Researches,compares,andacquiresnew sources of consumer information/insights and complementary data sets such as demographics, marketshare,and economic indices. Manages outside agencies,contracts,and partnerships, directly affecting marketing expenditures. Directly oversees and independently acts upon quality of output from each partnership. Independently investigates and resolves data integrity,reporting and analytics challenges bypartnering withvendorsand/ordirectlyaccessing databases and systems of record. Develops,executes,and summarizes findings for all customer surveys andresearch points. Responsible forongoing and ad hoc consumer research including market studies, consumer focus groups, customerintercepts,and mystery shops. Builds systemic depository of intelligence gathering efforts.Maintains knowledgebaseofrelevant studies and published research thatimpactsbusiness and/orsignalspotential changes incompany’scustomer base. Continuouslyand atowndiscretionimprovesoutput value, by increasing effectiveness ofresearch andanalytics and the efficiencies related to their production. SupportstheGVP in building andmaintainingrelationships as aninsightspartner acrossorganization. Effectively and simply presentsresults and translatesstatistical and business terminology to senior members of management. Must be able to interact productively with key organizational decision makers. Leads cross-functionalteams,as necessary. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degreefrom four-year collegeor university;3-5 years of experience in an analyticalrole. Retail background is highlydesirable.Groceryexperience a plus.Familiarity with consumerand market research tools and techniques. COMPENSATION The salary range for this position is$70,304.00 to $90,000.00. The actual starting pay will be determined by anumber of qualifications; including, experience and relevant skills.
