Job Description: Job Description We are looking for a skilled Diesel Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair our fleet of diesel vehicles and heavy equipment. You will perform routine maintenance, run computerized diagnostics, and replace faulty parts to ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose: Use specialized diagnostic software and scan tools to identify engine, transmission, electrical, and braking issues.
  • Repair: Overhaul, repair, or replace major components including engines, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and exhaust systems.
  • Maintain: Conduct preventative maintenance such as oil changes, fluid flushes, brake inspections, and tire rotations.
  • Test Drive: Test drive vehicles and operate equipment to evaluate performance after repairs.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance work, parts used, and completed work orders
  • Safety: Follow all shop safety rules, OSHA guidelines, and proper hazardous material disposal procedures.
Education: High school diploma or GED; completion of a vocational/technical program in diesel technology is preferred.
Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience working on heavy-duty diesel engines and commercial trucks.
Certifications: ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Diesel Certifications are a strong plus.
License: Valid driver's license required; a Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or B) is preferred.
