Description:
An employer is looking for a Senior Controls Engineer in Liberty, NC. You will lead the design, deployment, and optimization of edge computing and Industrial IoT solutions within a highly automated manufacturing environment. This role will bridge operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) systems by integrating PLCs, robotics, vision systems, SCADA, MES, and cloud platforms to enable real-time data visibility, predictive maintenance, and continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in industrial automation, edge computing, manufacturing data architecture, and software development, with a passion for leveraging technology to improve production performance, quality, and reliability. This individual will work cross-functionally with production, maintenance, quality, and IT teams to deliver scalable Industry 4.0 solutions that reduce downtime, drive operational excellence, and support data-driven decision making across manufacturing operations.
