About the role
- Prepare and transmit customs entries accurately and within required deadlines.
- Review commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, arrival notices, and other import documentation.
- Process entries involving FDA-regulated commodities and Partner Government Agencies.
- Submit and monitor FDA and PGA information required for customs clearance.
- Research and apply appropriate HTS classifications and duty rates.
- Enter and maintain shipment and customs information in CargoWise.
- Monitor shipments for CBP or FDA holds, exams, documentation requests, and release status.
- Identify missing, incomplete, or incorrect documentation and resolve discrepancies.
- Communicate with importers, freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams.
- Maintain accurate customs records and ensure compliance with applicable CBP and government regulations.
- Track entries through final customs release.
- Assist with post-entry corrections, documentation requests, and other customs-related issues as needed.
- Qualifications2–4 years of Customs Entry Writing, customs brokerage, or similar import experience.
- Hands-on experience with FDA-regulated imports.
- Knowledge of Partner Government Agency requirements and filings.
- Experience using CargoWise strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of HTS classification and U.S. Customs entry procedures.
- Experience reviewing commercial invoices, packing lists, and transportation documents.
- Familiarity with CBP regulations, customs holds, exams, and release procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple entries and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Full-time temporary assignment
- October 2026 through March 2027 Starting compensation equivalent to $60,000 annually
- No medical benefits currently offered
- Candidates must be comfortable committing to the full temporary assignment
