About the role
Working remotely on a part-time basis, the Associate Video Producer will assist in producing and independently editing video stories featuring reporters, while also collaborating on highlights and social video content during evenings and weekends.
Key responsibilities:
Collaborate with video producers and editors to create engaging stories from reporters in the field
Adhere to The Athletic's style guide and formats to produce high-quality content
Train reporters on best practices for filming video and guide them through the production process
Required qualifications:
Experience editing news, vertical, and social video using Adobe Premiere Pro
A genuine interest in various sports, with experience covering sports being a plus
A journalism background and understanding of newsroom operations
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
Willingness to work nights and weekends
