Job Description:
IMKO Workforce Solutions is seeking Tack Welders for a growing metal manufacturing operation. This position is responsible for performing tack welds on metal components while maintaining accuracy, quality, and safety throughout the welding process.
Responsibilities:
- Perform tack welding on metal components using blueprints and work instructions
- Read and follow safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures
- Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality specifications
- Monitor weld quality and make adjustments when needed
- Maintain proper weld strength and accuracy
- Keep welding equipment, tools, and materials clean and organized
- Follow all established safety and production procedures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required
- On-the-job training provided
- Strong attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills and technology
- Good communication and time-management skills
- Must be able to read, speak, and write English to understand work instructions and safety procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly push, pull, lift, and carry materials
