Position Summary: Lead a group of filling personnel to ensure all company goals and standards are met, as well as assist with quality compliance, productivity, and line efficiencies. Must be able to analyze needs, assign staffing to needed production lines, and prioritize production accordingly. Ensures all colleagues adhere to company policies and procedures. Leads by example and is able to motivate and supervise others.
Essential Functions:
  • Organize / schedule colleagues to ensure schedule is being met and executed and adhered to.
  • Ability to effectively communicate production issues that arise due to unforeseen problems.
  • Lead, assign, and inspect for completeness of work in the filling department.
  • Ensure that all Filling Operators, Filling Personnel, and Forklift Operators are meeting production needs.
  • Understands and drives the continuous improvement process.
  • Must be able to train and cross train less experienced filling personnel.
  • Ability to examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
  • Assist Filling Manager & Supervisors with day-to-day filling activities to include scheduling production lines, scheduling colleagues, updating filling schedules and assigning cleaning activities.
  • Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected and notify Filling Manager/Supervisor and maintenance staff of any malfunctions.
  • Ability to communicate across functions and departments, including (but not limited to) the Quality Control Department, Compounding Department, Facilities, and leadership.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all filling areas.
  • Ability to read and determine batch requirements.
  • Ability to operate simple hand tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Filling Manager or Supervisor.
  • Follow all EPC Safety, cGMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and regulation guidelines.
  • Experience/ Education Desired:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of SAPWorking knowledge of E-BatchBasic Math skills (addition/subtraction/division/multiplication) required.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably FDA regulated.
  • Basic computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint)
Skills and abilities:
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Strong leadership skills, including: Conflict resolution The ability to deliver management communications to staff. Holding staff accountable
Work Environment:
  • Ability to work an 10+ hour shift standing, bending, and reaching.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and overtime.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment (may be above 30 ambient degrees or below 20 ambient degrees in areas of production)
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment, which would include sweeping and cleaning up as you go.
