Vactor Truck Driver

Vactor Truck DriverWe are currently seeking a highly skilled & motivated Vactor Truck Driver in the Tucson area to join our team. Candidate must have knowledge of operation of Vactor Truck. Duties / Responsibilities Safely operate a vac truck to support excavation and utility crews in a manner that reduces risk and liabilities. Perform and properly document pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck to ensure they are in a safe and legal condition. Maintain accurate records of trip details, including mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance reports and hours worked. Communicate effectively with project managers, equipment operators, and other team members to coordinate work schedules in a direct and friendly manner. Always adhere to Achen-Gardner Construction's safety policies and procedures. Perform basic maintenance on the truck when necessary. Accurately navigate a vac truck using instructions, maps or GPS, to a wide variety of locations both on road and off. Properly wear and safely use PPE.Perform all other related duties as assigned. Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Arizona Class B or A CDL with tanker endorsement in good standing. Valid DOT Medical Certification.3 years of experience operating vac trucks preferred. Knowledge on underground utilities and construction practices preferred. Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Basic mechanical skills for minor truck maintenance. Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to read, understand and navigate using paper and/or digital maps. Ability to sit for long periods of time. May include some weekend and evening work, depending on current projects. Working outdoors in AZ climate.
