VP, Counterparty Credit Risk - Strategic Initiatives

Type: Full-Time We are partnered with a leading global financial institution that is seeking a Vice President join its Counterparty Credit Risk Management division in New York. You will lead strategic initiatives to align and enhance the firm’s Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) framework across global regions.
Core Responsibilities: Lead initiatives to align global CCR frameworks across regions (AD/EMEA), collateral standards, limit-setting, and escalation pathways in compliance with regulatory standards (SR 11-10, BCBS).Design and implement CCR control frameworks, governance workflows, and technical requirements to enable new products and business lines. Manage CCR narratives, presentations, and remediation tracking for regulatory exams and audits; represent CCR in CCAR and enterprise stress testing activities. Support daily counterparty limit monitoring, breach investigations, and cross-desk resolutions across derivatives and cash trading. Drive integration of AI-driven tools into CCR monitoring and executive reporting.
Required Qualifications: 7+ years in financial risk management or risk-taking functions, focusing on Capital Markets and derivatives. Strong understanding of Capital Markets, derivatives products, counterparty risk metrics (EPE, PFE, XVA) and ISDA/CSA documents. Proven track record drafting risk policies and creating executive-ready Power Point decks for senior leadership and regulators. High proficiency in Power BI, Excel, Word, and familiarity with data analytics/AI automation tools. Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance, Math, Statistics, or a related quantitative field. Progress toward or completion of CFA or FRM preferred.
