About the role
- Provide comprehensive care to healthy newborns in newborn nursery (13 beds) and critically ill neonates in a level II NICU ( 6 beds)
- Conduct thorough physical assessments, diagnose, and manage medical conditions and diseases.
- Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Educate and support families regarding neonatal care, treatment options, and care plans.
- Educate residents, medical students and other health professionals that rotate through nursery and NICU.Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
- Provide emergency care as needed and respond to critical situations with prompt, effective interventions.
- Document patient care and progress accurately and in a timely manner. Complete History and Physical, progress notes and discharge summaries
