About the role
Job Summary:
The Inside Sales Estimator supports internal and external customers with quotes, estimates, and project coordination for metal cladding systems, including roofing, wall, soffit, and edge metal products. This role gathers project information, prepares estimates, maintains project documentation, and helps ensure accurate and timely communication between customers, sales, customer service, and operations. This position serves as a primary point of contact for call-in and walk-in customers and supports distributors, contractors, architects, and internal partners throughout the quoting and order-preparation process. The role works within established pricing guidelines and collaborates with third-party takeoff providers, fabricators, and sales representatives to support revenue growth and customer success.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with new customer account setup by routing required information to the appropriate sales representative for review, when needed.
Quote/estimate line items and/or unit price quote inquiries for standard and/or nonstandard priced products in a territory.
Gather the information needed to complete accurate quotes and estimates for internal and external customers and general contractors.
Maintain an accurate project log by entering relevant quote and estimate information in a timely manner.
Manage and create folders on a shared drive to input project information to be held for quote/estimates.
Use third-party takeoff services to obtain estimated panel quantities and product details for use in quote and estimate preparation.
Communicate order readiness and coordinate handoff of the order process to the appropriate Order Management Specialist.
Prepare and submit accurate documentation needed by customers and production teams to process orders.
Participates in month-end reporting, including maintaining accurate records.
Research and resolve customer concerns, including review of material and equipment requirements to see successful project completion.
Coordinates with Customer Service Team Leads on customer issues and location-specific concerns from a customer-service standpoint.
Utilizes tools and services to influence decision makers in utilizing Carlisle Architectural Metals services.
Coordinate with sales representatives to support approved manufacturer status during the design or pre-bid stage.
Assists in the opportunities to close sales, including walk-in customers, communication with existing customers, obtaining details on signed estimates, maintaining a working knowledge of the Carlisle Construction Materials/Carlisle Architectural Metals websites and current customer trends in securing competitive information and contributing to the generation of revenue and business growth.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in business or a related technical field preferred.1-5 years of metal cladding industry experience. Prior experience with administrative/clerical procedures and systems.

Working Conditions:
- Office setting
- Business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Hours are subject to change with prior notice

- Occasional travel may be required for sales meetings or training
- Overnight stays may be possible
