Commodity Manager, Plastics Resins and Chemicals Morristown, TN | Full-Time | $100,000 to $120,000 per year Own the resin, TiO2, carbon black, and chemical additive spend that keeps a multi-site U.S. plastics operation running. Must-Haves 5+ years of procurement experience, with a plastics or chemical industry background strongly preferred Strong knowledge of resins, TiO2, carbon black, and chemical additives Strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management expertise Contract negotiation and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis experience Ability to read blueprints and engineering documents Advanced Excel, Power Point, and Power BI skills Willingness to travel to suppliers and facilities
What You'll Do: Lead resin and chemical commodity strategy across U.S. facilities to drive cost savings and supply continuity Run supplier selection, RFQs, TCO analysis, and contract negotiations Analyze market trends and cost drivers to stay ahead of pricing shifts Build strong supplier partnerships through visits, audits, and performance reviews Lead cost reduction workshops and supplier corrective actions Support material budgets, cost forecasting, and KPIs Partner with Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, Sales, Technical Services, and Operations to reduce supply risk Nice-to-Haves Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Chemistry, or related field Knowledge of contract law as it relates to purchasing Involvement in plastics or chemical industry associations
Compensation and Benefits: $100,000 to $120,000 base salary High-visibility role shaping procurement strategy across North America
