About the role

Description: The Marketing Strategist assists business units with strategic marketing plans by coordinating and executing the marketing initiative for each project. The Marketing Strategist will provide client service support to ensure that all marketing objectives are executed timely and accurately. Assist the Global Practice in the implementation of marketing plans and materials designed to achieve established business goals. Work with corporate marketing resources to develop and produce creative materials both print and electronic to implement marketing plan initiatives. Brief and work closely with creative staff to assist in formulating marketing strategies. Negotiate prices for print materials and sign contracts for promotional initiatives. Resolve discrepancies between promotional companies and Burns & McDonnell. Write and publish client reports. Organize information and prepare presentations on marketing plans and marketing materials to present to the business unit leadership. Provide updates as changes in marketing plans and materials arise. Produce reports on marketing costs. Assist in the production of market specific materials. Provide assistance with the planning and coordination of promotional initiatives. Schedule and coordinate marketing meetings with business unit and marketing team. Establish priorities and deadlines on deliverables. Responsible for taking meeting notes, capturing action items and transferring actions to status as appropriate. Assist Global Practice as project manager for all marketing initiatives within the respected global practice (s). Responsible for ensuring strategy and deliverables meet the marketing needs of each global practice. Suggest a plan for strategic direction and implementation on integrated marketing campaigns to include digital, social, advertising, thought-leadership, public relations, events and tradeshows. Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or related field and 4 years in marketing, business development, or sales with a professional services firm required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects/initiatives in a fast-paced deadline driven environment. Problem solving, strategic thinking/planning and organizational skills required. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Job Field: Marketing
