About the role
Estimator/Project Manager Our client, one of SoCal's most prominent commercial painting/waterproofing contractors is seeking an experienced Estimator/Project Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, cost control, and project management. If you have a passion for delivering accurate estimates and ensuring projects are completed within budget.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the estimation process for construction projects from start to finish
- Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for bids
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase to ensure adherence to budget constraints
- Provide guidance on pricing strategies and value engineering opportunities
- Review contracts to ensure accuracy
- Local travel required
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proven experience in construction estimating, cost control, and project management
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Experience in painting or waterproofing is a plus, but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of contract terms and conditions
