Key Responsibilities: WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY You will serve as a Rehabilitation Program Specialist responsible for a full range of professional duties to enable NIDILRR to conduct an integrated, coordinated program of research, research utilization, technical assistance, and training activities that utilize grants, contracts, cooperative agreements. Your daily duties will include: Providing consultation to encourage and promote the organization and the advancement of its disability research programs. Supporting and promoting NIDILRR-funded programs by applying appropriate knowledge, experience, and methodologies from the fields of behavioral, vocational, or social science; knowledge translation; statistics and data management; or aging with disability. Serving as one of NIDILRR's principal spokespersons and scientific program leaders focused on the experiences and outcomes of people with disability related to serious mental health conditions. Serving as project officer for assigned portfolio of grants and cooperative agreements, ensuring appropriate administrative and scientific monitoring of these projects. Preparing reports of the research and associated activities relevant to disability programs (i.e., vocational, behavioral, social science, policy, technology or medical). Requirements & Education Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
