About the role

We are seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief to lead field survey crews and perform construction and land surveying activities. The Survey Crew Chief will be responsible for operating surveying equipment, collecting accurate field data, interpreting plans, and ensuring survey work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate daily activities of the survey crew in the field. Perform boundary, topographic, construction, and engineering surveys. Operate and maintain Total Stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, data collectors, and other surveying instruments. Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, survey documents, and specifications. Establish and verify control points, benchmarks, elevations, and coordinates. Perform accurate measurements, calculations, staking, and layout for construction projects. Collect, record, and verify field data for accuracy and completeness. Conduct construction layout for foundations, utilities, roads, structures, and other site improvements. Communicate effectively with project managers, surveyors, engineers, contractors, and field personnel. Maintain survey equipment and report any equipment issues or calibration requirements. Ensure all field activities comply with company safety policies and project requirements. Train and provide direction to survey crew members as needed. Maintain accurate field notes, records, and documentation. Perform other related duties as assigned.
