About the role

Sr Administrative Assistant The Grace Baton Rouge Plant encompasses R&D and manufacturing capabilities. A dedicated team of engineers, chemists, researchers, and technologists perform fundamental research and product development in laboratories, pilot plant, scale-up, as well as full-scale manufacturing which runs 24/7/365. The Senior Administrative Assistant provides senior level administrative support for a diverse and highly effective team at the Grace Baton Rouge Plant. This role reports to the Plant Manager. The Baton Rouge Plant is a 24/7 365-day manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide HR support on I-9s, onboarding / orientation, interview packets, personnel folders, career fairs, and other employee related events
  • Process and submit hourly biweekly payroll and involved in KronosManage Purchasing Card expense reports and Travel & Expense reports
  • Lead employee committees, other onsite events, plus volunteer events outside plant
  • Manage absences and vacation calendar and assists site leadership team
  • Coordinate plant visits and visitors including meeting room and lunch arrangement
  • Provide plant wide announcements and communications
Physical Requirements and Environment: Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders over 100 ft. Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective equipment) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suit, full face respirator
Required Qualifications:
  • H.S. Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of administrative assistant experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience planning, prioritizing and organizing a diverse workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with confidential information
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree
  • Experience using Ariba and SAP procurement module
  • Experience using Kronos
