About the role

Leading a team of system administrators and analysts, the full-time California Licensed HMIS Manager will oversee the operation and continuous improvement of a Homeless Management Information System (HMIS), ensuring effective data management and compliance with HUD requirements, while working remotely or in the Los Angeles area.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day HMIS operations, ensuring reliability and quality in accordance with contracts and service level agreements Manage and support the professional development of a team of data professionals, aligning priorities with organizational strategy Coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure operational and strategic benchmarks are met
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Public Policy, or a related field; master's degree preferred Professional experience with HMIS and homeless services data systems, including understanding HMIS software requirements Proven ability to manage professional teams and deliver operational or technical outcomes in ambiguous situations Strong understanding of project management methodologies relevant to software development and data management Experience interpreting data and analytical reports, identifying policy implications, and making recommendations to leadership
