Beacon Hill Legal is seeking an experienced Senior Trust & Estate Paralegal to join its Trusts, Estates & Wealth Preservation practice. This role partners closely with attorneys and other professionals to manage sophisticated estate and trust matters from inception through completion while delivering responsive, high-quality client service.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare probate documents, court petitions, related filings, and federal and state estate, inheritance, income, and gift tax returns.
Administer estate and trust assets from inception through termination, including gathering information, coordinating valuations, maintaining accountings, transferring assets, and overseeing beneficiary distributions.
Conduct due diligence and document reviews, and produce polished final deliverables for internal and external stakeholders.
Serve as a primary contact for attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, beneficiaries, and third parties while supporting special projects and training junior team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, or an associate degree with a paralegal certificate, plus at least five years of trust and estate administration experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
Experience preparing estate, inheritance, income, and gift tax returns, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, PDF tools, document management systems, and timekeeping software.
Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and client-service skills, with exceptional attention to detail and discretion in handling confidential matters.
Ability to manage competing deadlines, train junior team members, meet billable-hour requirements, and work overtime or travel as needed.
