Facilities Maintenance Assistant Full-Time | The Shores, a UMC Community Pick a 9am, 11am, or noon start and earn $17.49 to $18.65 an hour at The Shores, a senior living community within walking distance of the Ocean City beach. We reply to every applicant within 48 hours. Who You'll Take Care Of Older adults call The Shores home. Some live on their own, and others get assisted living, memory care, or nursing care. When a faucet drips or a light goes out in someone's apartment, you're the one who makes it right.
What You'll Do:
  • Handle everyday repairs, including minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work
  • Answer repair requests from residents and staff and see each one through to the finish
  • Do preventive maintenance so equipment and building systems keep running
  • Log work orders and inspections in our maintenance tracking system
  • Keep supplies stocked and help with ordering and storage
  • Spot safety hazards and fix them or report them
What You'll Need
Required:
  • High school diploma or GED18 or older
  • Able to read work orders and safety labels and talk clearly with residents and staff
  • Basic carpentry, electrical, or plumbing skills
Preferred: Hands-on repair experience from a job, trade school, or your own projects
Pay and Benefits:
  • $17.49 to $18.65 per hour, based on experience
