About the role
- Answer incoming phone calls and emails promptly and professionally
- Greet and assist walk-in customers
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions
- Up-sell and cross-sell additional products and supplies when appropriate
- Prepare quotes, enter orders, and input job pricing accurately
- Accept payments and apply them to the appropriate customer accounts
- Support the outside sales team with order entry and customer coordination
- Work closely with dispatch to schedule deliveries efficiently
- Coordinate with warehouse staff for customer pickups and deliveries
- Maintain showroom inventory, organization, and cleanliness
- Reorder products to ensure inventory levels are maintained
- Address and resolve customer service concerns professionally
- Build relationships with new customers and maintain long-term customer partnerships
- Gather customer feedback to help improve service and operations
- Assist with merchandising and branch sales initiatives
- Perform additional duties as assigned-this is a collaborative environment where everyone helps out
- 1-2+ years of inside sales experience required
- Experience with interior building products strongly preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time-management and organizational abilities
- Basic to intermediate computer skills, including MS Word and Excel
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with a strong customer-service focus
- Positive attitude, team-player mentality, and willingness to learn
- Comfortable handling difficult situations professionally
- $21-$26 per hour, based on experience
