About the role
We're partnering with a growing manufacturer seeking an experienced Automation / Controls Technician to support advanced automated manufacturing equipment and production systems. If you enjoy programming, troubleshooting, and working with cutting-edge automation technology, this is an opportunity to make a direct impact while continuing to grow your technical skills.
What You'll Do:
- Program, troubleshoot, and modify PLCs (Rockwell / Allen-Bradley), HMIs, servo systems, vision systems, and robotics
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize equipment downtime
- Support the installation, integration, and startup of new automation equipment and robotic systems
- Partner with Engineering to support new equipment launches, machine improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Build and maintain electrical control panels, wiring, and industrial control systems
- Identify root causes of equipment issues and implement long term corrective solutions
- Document repairs, modifications, and improvement activities while maintaining safety and quality standards
What We're Looking For:
- Technical degree with 3+ years of automation and controls experience, or 10+ years of hands-on automation experience
- Skilled Trades Journeyman certification or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong experience with PLC programming, electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial automation
- Experience with robotics, servo systems, and automated manufacturing equipment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
- Experience with assembly, injection molding, die casting, or similar manufacturing environments preferred
- A proactive, team-oriented problem solver with a passion for troubleshooting and continuous improvement Why Consider It
